ABOUT YOUR HUNT
We hunt exclusively on private land around Chama, New Mexico.
This property offers some of Northern New Mexico's best elk hunting. Your
hunt is a
5-day hunt but you will need to arrive a day early to allow time to sight
in your rifle.
We drive out to the various ranches in pickups and 4x4's
and hunt mornings and evenings.
We do not stay out all day so we don't blow the elk from their beds.
 We will hunt on foot only (no horses).
We glass and stalk as we hunt easy rolling hills.
We walk approximately 1-2 miles in the morning and
generally set up and sit in the evenings.
You cannot hunt in tree stands when elk hunting, because they do
not use the same paths all the time.
Our average shots are 200-300+ yards.
This year we have additional land available and elevations range from 7800
ft.
to 9500 ft., in open rolling hills with oak, cedar and sage to
aspen and dark timber.
Bull sizes average 250-300+ class bulls.
All guides live in the Chama area. We observe elk
on the ranches on a regular basis, year 'round.
Most hunters fly into Albuquerque, rent a car and drive
together.
It's a three (3) hour drive north to Chama.
We limit the number of hunters to maintain the quality
of your experience, so book early.

License is guaranteed on private land (no draw).
Once the permit is filled out, the permit cannot be cancelled or
transferred.
No refunds on permits.
